Factorio is a game about creating automated factories to produce things of increasing complexity, within an endless 2D world - Use your imagination to design factories, combine simple elements into complex structures, and finally defend yourself from hostile creatures.
You will mine resources, research new technologies, create infrastructure, automate production and fight enemies.
At the initial stage of the game, you will manually cut down trees, mine ore and create simple manipulators and transport conveyors, but after a while you will finally be able to rise to the energy industry with huge solar farms, oil distillation and refining, build robots and deploy a logistics network, customized for your resource needs.
But the harsh exploitation of the planet's resources will not go unnoticed by the locals, so you will have to be ready to stand up for yourself and your mechanical empire.
Join forces with other players in Multiplayer, create huge factories together and distribute tasks among your friends.
Add modifications to suit every taste, from the smallest improvements to completely changing the game. Factorio mod support allows you to create new content with interesting or unusual features.
The main game mode is a sandbox, but for those who like to cope with interesting and complex tasks there is a set of scenarios available as free DLC.
And if the existing maps and scenarios are boring, you can create your own using the in-game Map Editor. Place objects, enemies, customize the terrain and add your own scripts to diversify the gameplay.
