Kali Linux is a Debian-based Linux distribution designed for advanced users and security professionals, including a suite of programs for testing vulnerabilities and security threats.
The Kali Linux operating system is intended for users and developers who test various systems and services for vulnerabilities or the possibility of hacking. The distribution includes hundreds of tools with which you can check the exploitation of known vulnerabilities and test your projects for security.
There are many distributions available for Kali Linux with different graphical environments and for different architectures. The standard version of the system is designed in the Xfce environment, but installation of the system based on the MATE, Gnome, KDE and LXDE desktops is also available. System images are being developed for amd64, i386 and various versions of ARM architectures, as well as ready-made assemblies for VirtualBox and VMware virtual machines.
Kali Linux is open source. Since using the system involves active work on the Internet and with the network, the developers paid special attention to supporting most wireless Wi-Fi adapters. Although most tools are written in English, Kali Linux includes multilingual support, allowing more users to work in their native language.
